Fanny Lee, O.D. received a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1997, graduating as a member of the UCLA College Honors Program throughout her four years of study. She continued her education at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2001 and is TPL certified in California.

Dr. Lee took part in the Collaborative Longitudinal Evaluation of Keratoconus (CLEK) Study and pursued laboratory research on angle-closure glaucoma at the Doris Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. She further collaborated in a research study evaluating the progression of age-related macular degeneration after cataract extraction. She is a co-author of the findings published in Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science. As an examining doctor, she participated in a multi-center study sponsored by Ocular Sciences, Inc. to provide a clinical comparison of various daily disposable soft contact lenses.

Her involvement in the community includes providing care in numerous vision screening programs offered to school children, the elderly, and the homeless. She has lectured on eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy at local senior centers and is always happy to educate those who want to learn more about their ocular health.

Dr. Lee values family time with her husband and their two children. She enjoys watching her kids play at the park, hiking in the hills, and faithfully cheering on the Bruins and Bears during college basketball and football seasons.
