Kristine M. Kobayashi, O.D.

Dr. Kris Kobayashi graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 1990. Prior to receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree, she attended the University of California at Santa Barbara and California State University, Fullerton. She completed her externship training at the Madigan Army Hospital at Fort Ord in Tacoma, Washington, Foothill Center for the Partially Sighted in Glendora, the Las Vegas Low Vision Clinic and the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center.

Prior to graduation, Dr. Kobayashi gained experience as a dispensing optician and contact lens technician in several offices including being mentored by Sheldon M. Golden, O.D. After graduation, she joined Golden Optometric as an optometrist on a full time basis in 1991. Her professional interests are primary patient care, bifocal/specialty contact lenses, and refractive surgery.

Dr. Kobayashi and her husband Randy have been married since 1992 and enjoy spending time with their two wonderful children, Hannah and Andrew. She spends much of her spare time volunteering for her children's school, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and attending her children's soccer games.
