Ivy W. Lin, O.D.

Dr. Ivy Lin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology at UCLA in 1998. She graduated from Pacific University in 2003, having earned her Doctor of Optometry degree after completing externships at Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, along with others specializing in pediatric eye care and vision therapy. Shortly thereafter, she co-authored a study on the Acuvue Bifocal contact lens that was published in Optometry, the Journal of the American Optometric Association.

Upon graduating, she moved back to Southern California and began working with Golden Optometric Group in the fall of 2003, and has been with the group ever since. Dr. Lin has served on the board of the Orange County Optometric Society for several years, is the editor of their newsletter, and previously served as their liaison for the California Vision Foundation. She currently acts as the marketing consultant to the OCOS. She is affiliated with the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, OCOS, California Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association, and has participated in various community health fairs and Special Olympics vision health screenings.

In her former life, Dr. Lin could be found taking in the beautiful outdoors, relishing good food and even better music, shopping for anything and everything, and traveling abroad. Nowadays she and her husband, Dr. David Ardaya, spend every free moment chasing after and entertaining their two young, astoundingly active children.

Dr. Lin speaks Mandarin and Spanish fluently, and welcomes the opportunity to help patients who may be uncomfortable communicating their needs in English otherwise. Her goal is to provide clear, comfortable vision for patients and their families, with an emphasis on good patient education and preventative eye healthcare in a friendly environment. She enjoys the daily experience of meeting new people and greeting familiar ones, and hopes that is reflected in your visit to our offices.
